The brief:

As this was an extension of the client’s existing bedroom, we had the flexibility to create a bathroom design from a blank canvas. The bathroom we were creating was the master ensuite, therefore our client wanted to ensure there was enough space for two users. This included a vanity unit with two washbasins, a large wetroom shower and a freestanding bath. It was also critical that the freestanding bath took advantage of their garden views from the large floor-to-ceiling window.

The solution:

To start the design process, we assisted the client in choosing the style of bath so we could plan the rest of the bathroom around it. We quickly established it needed to be freestanding with striking features as it was the focal point of the room. Once the bath was chosen and positioned in the design, everything else fell into place. An important requirement was to integrate as much storage as possible into the room. To achieve this, we recommended a four-drawer vanity unit from Villeroy & Boch along with a mirrored cabinet from Keuco complete with internal glass shelving and electrical charging points. Due to the size of the room, it allowed for a large wetroom shower with a rain-style shower head. We discussed with the client adding in a long-style linear recess to provide additional storage with discreet LED décor lighting.

The outcome:

Upon visiting the client’s home to see the final results, they expressed their joy with how the bathroom had turned out. The combination of sleek ceramicware and elegant tiles meant the bathroom was in keeping with the style seen throughout the rest of their house. They were so pleased; that we quickly started the process on two further bathrooms within their property.
