The brief:
The main brief that our client expressed for this bathroom renovation was a larger showering area which was level access and included a rain-style shower head. Their existing layout included a small corner bath, floor-standing toilet and a traditional style basin/pedestal combination. They were very keen to bring the bathroom into the 21st century and update the layout to make better use of the space available.
The solution:
Initially, the client had mentioned that there was scope to possibly reposition the entry door into their existing bathroom so we knew we would need to take advantage of the CAD package to explore the different options.
The biggest challenge for this design was to increase the existing shower area without compromising on other aspects of the bathroom such as the bath and basin size. To get around this issue, we altered the existing layout so that the shower and bath were positioned on the same side of the room which then allowed for us to extend the shower and create a wetroom with a large glass screen and rain shower head. We also recommended to the client that their shower wall be seamlessly built out to create essential storage and feature lighting. Once the shower and bath positions were agreed upon, everything else fell into place.
The new layout allowed for a basin with vanity unit storage and a modern wall-hung toilet. Whilst the layout was key, we also worked with the client to help choose suitable tiles for the space.
They had expressed that the bathroom was very dark and they wanted something which would brighten the area but also include a ‘pop’ of colour. We paired together a timeless marble effect porcelain tile and a blue hexagonal style tile which then tied into the blue denim towel warmer which was selected.

The outcome:
The client was ecstatic with the final result of this project. We had met all their requirements with making their bathroom more practical for everyday use. They were further overjoyed by the selection of tiles which completely transformed the room.
